Insulated Glass from FireLite®
FireLite-IGUs are fire-rated insulated glass units that provide outstanding fire protection and clear visibility. These fire-rated glass units are composed of two materials: FireLite's fire-rated clear transparent ceramic thick glazing material and either tempered or annealed float glass products.
The UL Classified FireLite ceramic glazing is 3/16" (5mm) thick and features a "wireless" appearance. FireLite fire-rated insulated glass units are listed for applications requiring 20, 45, and 60-minute fire ratings with required Hose Stream Test and Positive Pressure Tests (UL 10C). With standard and premium optical surface grade options available, FireLite fire-rated glass provides superior protection for a wide range of applications.

Impact Safety Ratings
Fire-rated insulated glass units can be either filmed or laminated and labeled as meeting the Impact Resistance requirements of ANSI Z97.1 and CPSC 16 CFR1201 (Cat I and Cat II) as required per IBC 2406 Safety Glazing in Hazardous Locations.
Impact Resistant locations include any windows in a wall within 24 inches of a door opening or 18 inches of the floor, borrowed lites, sidelites, and transoms. This also applies to any glazing occurring in a swinging or sliding door or other areas with a high risk of human impact.
